Perla
Perla came to us with a recent diagnosis of POTS, feeling as though her life was crumbling before her eyes. She was loosing hope, as other treatment protocols were proving to be ineffective in giving her her life back. In her 30s, she was under immense stress—her health was slipping, anxiety was crippling her, and her relationship was teetering on the edge. Simple tasks became monumental challenges. She struggled to stand without feeling weak and on the verge of losing consciousness. Nausea was constant, and her POTS combined with constant blurry vision made standing, walking, and moving extremely difficult. Her blood pressure kept dropping, and she was in a perpetual state of brain fog, leading to high emotions and frequent hospital visits.
Perla's goals were simple yet seemed unattainable: to drive, to play and care for her kids, to manage her anxiety, and to stabilize her blood pressure.
Then, slowly, everything began to change. A few months into chiropractic care, Perla and the improvement were quickly poring in! She was walking without any support from her husband. She could get down on the floor and play with her kids without the crippling symptoms that once held her back. One day, she even left the office carrying her four-year-old son, a sight that filled her mom heart with joy! Her husband couldn't believe the transformation he was witnessing either. He saw her energy returning, her joy spilling over into their home, even catching her dancing around the house from time to time.
Perla's anxiety decreased, and she became far less emotional. Their relationship, once strained, was healing in a beautiful way. And perhaps most significantly, after five long months without driving, she was back behind the wheel, reclaiming her independence!
She expressed her gratitude, saying, "I am so grateful for Dr. Karolyn and Dr. Spencer for pulling through :)." While she acknowledges that there is more healing ahead, Perla's life feels so much more "normal" now, improving every single day since starting her chiropractic care. Her journey is a testament to resilience and the incredible power of holistic healing.
